Rods, Reels and Line

You have heard talk of the weight of the rod, which does not pertain to how heavy the rod is. At the shop, we feel it best to focus on what fish you would like to pursue, not the rod weight for those starting. We have some great rod kits to get you started fly fishing for trout, bass and salt water.

Leaders and tippet

The leader line is the final control point from your fly line to your fly. Different lengths and strengths factor in how a fly lands on the water and the ability to land your fish.

Below are some excellent leaders to start with, and you can pick up a matching tippet to replace the end of your line.
