The Saleb Family
A family of six, the Salebs moved to Alpharetta a year ago from Egypt, following unrest in the region. With no prior experience with the English language, no car, and little knowledge of the area, the Salebs are currently struggling to afford food for 4 children (ages 2-18). Jeff has had a tough year as a single parent of two teenage boys. In May one son was involved in a car accident that left him with a traumatic brain injury. Amy Perdew lost her husband a few months ago to a sudden heart attack. Since then, she's been adjusting to life as a single mom of two teenagers.
